The Business Challenge
Our client manages a workforce of over 350 employees that provide onsite support through their field services division. Their management and workflow requirements are complex, including areas of financial management, manufacturing, distribution, relationship management, service management, and analytics. When they needed to integrate their ERP system with a business partner, they required a highly reliable and performant Windows service application to send and receive XML messages using web services and SQL Server 2005.
The Solution
We worked with our client to build a high performance windows service to support their mission-critical integration requirements. The most important requirement was to maximize fault tolerance and build a reliable application that would not only monitor its own health, but also support extensive tracing and logging facilities to provide a complete record of each and every transaction.
Our client's responsiveness in the field is directly impacted by the application's ability to process inbound and outbound XML messages.
